
RawData is a research company that focuses on media consumption. Using advanced mobile technology on cell phones along with a community of panelists we work to understand what people watch on TV, listen to on the Radio, and browse on the Internet. Our application, called MoARC (mobile audio recognition client), is trained to recognize TV and Radio ONLY, everything else is ignored.
the RawData program is two fold:
part 1: media exposure
MoARC (mobile audio recognition client) is one of our advanced application and it runs on an Android based cell phones. when you sit down to watch TV or as you drive to work listening to the radio, you simply keep your phone out and exposed to the audio signal. when MoARC hears something relating to audio from either TV or radio, it sends us a signal to mark you has having heard that television program or listened to a specific radio station or having been exposed to an ad. no audio is EVER recorded and audio not related to TV or radio is simply ignored. to add an extra layer of comfort and security though, RawData has included a ‘pause’ feature with MoARC allowing you to pause the application.
simply place your phone in your center console while driving and the phone will do the rest!
part 2: survey questions
RawData knows your time is valuable, incredibly valuable, as such we have designed our applications to do their jobs without impacting your daily life or your regular routine. our survey app (QQs: Quick Question Survey) is also installed on RawData devices and when running provides you with simple quick survey questions. these questions can be answered at your convenience and require nearly no effort to respond to. don’t have time to respond right now? no problem! the QQs app stores your unanswered questions until you can respond and even tells you how many unanswered questions you have waiting. most questions are multiple choice allowing you to simply select the letter corresponding to your desired answer and hitting send! it really is that easy!
